Fanboy Expo In Tampa Bay This Weekend!
We'll be setting up for the weekend at Tampa Bay Fanboy Expo. The event is being held at the Hilton downtown Friday, Saturday and Sunday!
We barely snuck into the show, so we aren't sure where our spot is, but we are definitely going to be there! Come on by, say hi, and pick up our newest piece! Dancing baby Groot- Sugar Boogarz style!
Come on, you just KNEW I had to make one of these little guys!
(Man am I aching to go see it in the theater again!)

Ice Bucket Challenge
It's going around. Beyond viral. Everyone is doing it, joe average to joe celebrity.
The ALS ice bucket challenge.
There are those who might knock it as just a cry for attention, and there are definitely those who complete it, but not quite correctly.
The idea is, donate 100 bucks to the ALS, if you can't, then donate 10 bucks and dump a bucket of ice water on your head. Challenge 3 others, and it spreads like wild fire.
Usually you have 24 hours to do this. I was challenged yesterday by two different fellas. But since we were at the parks it was hard to find a bucket of ice water at Epcot.
I improvised.
Cup of ice water to the head, followed by a few repeated lashings of cold jet stream water whips blasting from the jumping fountains at Journey to Imagination.
You can see the video on my Facebook.com/locoduckstudios page.
Toni and I are donating to the cause as well. It's super worthy. I've done a bit of research and what these warriors with Lou gherigs disease go through is extremely hard to see.
So take a moment and donate a few bucks even if you don't have an ice bucket, a cup of ice water, rocketing water blasts or a commanding audience to witness it.

blah.
I've just come off an amazing high. This summer was just perfect. I had my children here, I married my best friend, hung with family and friends, and did so many fun conventions where I got to see so many of you.
Now I've crashed, and crashed hard.
I'm finding myself unusually depressed now that my girls have gone home, and there isn't a con in sight for close to a month.
It's become a cruel summer. At least this last leg has.
To make matters worse. I'm obese. Out of shape, and pushing forty.
Yes, I'll hit 40 in less than a year.
Needless to say, I'm trying to be in change mode. Lose weight, eat healthy, love life, blah blah blah.
It's been hard. It's only been a day since I've decided to make the change…again. But it's been tough.
And Robin Williams killed himself.
Life could be a lot worse. So I'll keep chugging on. I'll post here.
Here I can be as long winded as I want to be and not worry about staying under 140 characters on twitter, or being brief on Facebook.
Maybe I'll sprinkle some updates for art as well. Truly, I'm not sure what I'm doing. Ultimately, I just want to be happy.
Enjoy my life, my kids, my new wife, my friends, family, and the three fans I have. I started my journey to find that peace today.
Then I tried to do sit-ups……
and couldn't even do one.
Ugh. It's going to be a long road back.

Update Coming
You know with all the multitude of social networks I post to (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr) You would think I'd update this blog just as regularly. After all, it is the first place people come to when they get one of my business cards at a show.
So starting today, I'll make a solid effort to include my updates here as well.
A few things of note. Many of the links above, while active, are very outdated. My gallery for example has plenty of content, but NOTHING there is at all more recent than about 2009. I have a much larger sampling of my work on my Facebook pages and Instagram. You can follow them by clicking the links to your right. I am working on updating the content on those pages though. Scouts honor.
In the meanwhile, please follow me at any of the links to your right. And keep checking back here for progress.
Here is an oldie but a goodie. I know that I have been doing a lot more digital work lately, but hand coloring is still one of my favorite ways to do things!
